ATTEND FUNDRAISERS:	Your attendance at Official Hi-Yu fundraisers is always welcome, and somewhat of a neccesity. West Seattle Hi-Yu is a non-profit organization and all proceeds are derived from contributions, the good neighbors of West Seattle, and the West Seattle Business core which supports community events like ours.
VOLUNTEER TIME ON A PROJECT/WALK WITH A FLOAT:	Volunteers are the lifeblood of the West Seattle Hi-Yu Summer Festival. Without your help we are dangerously close to losing our beloved community event. Hi-Yu is the oldest, community-based, festival in the city. Since 1933, we even pre-date SeaFair!! Over the years, Hi-Yu has brought many smiles to the faces of young and old alike, and we would like to continue this tradition...we need you to accomplish this goal. DONATIONS:	Money. Well, nothing is free. And the same goes for running a quality community festival like the West Seattle Hi-Yu Summer Festival. While donations can come in many forms (a donated car for the float, garage space to store it in, or purely in time and effort), plain old cash pays the bills. While the Hi-Yu officers and staff are unpaid individuals, the cost of tickets, the excellent Summer Program (the production of which is donated but the printing bill is not), and various other items need to be paid for.
