SUMMARY: After decades of mothballed activity, the namesake

After decades of mothballed activity, the namesake Washington State Ferry "HiYu" was put back in service out of Pt. Defiance on June 12, 2007.  The ferry was the last chance effort to keep the run going when the existing ferry fell out of service.
